Contentement.

As this is an area I have struggled and continue to struggle with, I would like to encourage all of you — and not just the singles or the ladies — be content in the LORD.

Let us not let circumstances or situations distract us from the greatest truth of our lives: It’s not our own. God has paid for us and bought us with the blood of Christ, and we are not our own selves. As Christians, we are slaves of Christ.

Therefore, with Christ as our Master, Lord, and Savior, we have a sure hope that lies within us which is greater than anything in the world. How can we not be content?!

And we need to make sure our contentment originates and rests with the LORD, because we are so sinful!!! A  fulfillment of our desires ain’t gonna do nuthin’ for ya — but only lead to selfishness and mindless self-gratification, making yourself your #1 fan. Let us not allow circumstances sway our actions, words, attitudes, thoughts, and desires from keeping to principles.

Let us love God and love one another:

Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God. […] In this is love, not that we have loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins. Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.

and a complete change of topic to:

So true. Thanks for the reminder!

Oh my word, your pizza looks absolutely delish! Did you follow a recipe to make the dough?
